This agreement is an important occasion for Italian agriculture: through McDonald the multinational of our farmers has entered the life of thousands of youngsters. The McItaly line has registered 15% of the daily McDonald sales. With these words the Minister of agricultural food and forestry policies Luca Zaia the 8 February presented, in the McDonald' restaurant of Segrate, in province of Milan, the operation McItaly that improves the menus of the famous American chain with burgers and salads made with products of certified quality.
" The farmers and producers that are here today confirm, with their presence, the righteousness and the farsightedness of this operation, that will bring on our fields three million and a half euro per month and that will plant, in the great corporations’ market, the seed of a unique and inimitable value: our identity".
With these words the Minister of agricultural food and forestry policies Luca Zaia the 8 February presented, in the McDonald' restaurant of Segrate, in province of Milan, the operation McItaly that improves the menus of the famous American chain with burgers and salads made with products of certified quality. With the Minister there were also numerous farmers supporting the initiative. Through the Consortia of protection, they bring on the tables of the 600 thousand customers whom every day enter a McDonald' s the Pdo and Pgi products and the identitarian culture of which they are ambassadors.

A result that goes beyond our predictions and rewards our agrifood excellences and the work of the farmers".
Among those present at the event: Giuliano Passavento of Casearia Altopiano di Asiago; Marcello Ladina from the company M.E.Dal Farm SS; Leonardo Buratti of the Fratelli Buratti farm; Luigi Branciforti, a Sicilian artichoke producer and owner of the Agrigel company; Francesco Canada representing his company; Giovanni Scollo for the Fratelli Scollo srl company; Paolo Tosi of Parmareggio; Franz Recla for Recla.
These are only some of the names of the companies involved in the McItaly operation that has also brought McDonald's into buying 768 thousand euros of Parmigiano Reggiano; 208 thousand euros of Apples from Valtellina; and Asiago Dop cheese for 497 thousand euros.
